Google Analytics

Jim Holmes recently pointed me to Google Analytics.  Google Analytics is the rosetta stone to all of your web traffic related questions.  It is also free! I instrumented my blog and some of the other sites I manage with the small and harmless JavaScript snippet Google provides and voilà! I am now capturing web stats and looking at complex reports! I especially like the Geo Map Overlay that shows your visitors on a world map.  The web design related reports are very thorough as well.  It gives you stats like screen resolution, browser, platform, languages, connection speed, etc.  In the past, I have written code in my web applications that capture all this data but now it is a lot easier to use Google Analytics.
